We are very excited to share that City Forest Credits has received a nearly two million dollar grant to help land trusts, small-acreage forest owners, and underserved landowners connect to carbon markets! The US Forest Service is investing nearly $145 million from the Inflation Reduction Act, to connect forest landowners with emerging climate markets.
City Forest Credits, along with partners Western Reserve Land Conservancy, Georgia-Alabama Land Trust, and Davey Resource Group, will use the funding to help generate carbon revenue for conservation and stewardship of at-risk small forest parcels in the urban-rural gradient around cities.
